"Adelhelm & Associates have provided a range of expert advice and consultancy services to the RACGP on a number of significant employment issues.
Their highly skilled consultants provided us with a full and detailed analysis of our existing Enterprise Agreement, advice on how to approach negotiations by supporting us to determine the internal and external industrial climate. We were able to establish a strong foundation for our industrial relations platform in a prescriptive and complicated environment.
Adelhelm & Associates have also supported the RACGP with their specialist knowledge in a significant industrial matter. Their consultant handled a workplace investigation on our behalf as an independent and impartial investigator. He managed the matter with professionalism and demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the relevant legislation whilst understanding the sensitive nature of a number of related issues.
I have enjoyed working with the team at Adelhelm & Associates and would recommend them to support your workplace IR and ER matters. "
ROYAL COLLEGE OF GENERAL PRACTITIONERS, VIC
"I found the A&A workshops to be an eye-opener with real-world practical tips, translating easily into any business. The Masterclass workshop is a definite step-up from the entry level negotiating workshop and having attended both gave me the direction and confidence to negotiate our EA. I've used a number of their techniques and remained in control throughout. Their methods saved us emotional and financial expense. "
AUTORENTZ HERTZ, TAS
"Adelhelm provided a very professional, practical and highly beneficial workshop. Their expertise and experience was greatly valued."
EXXON MOBIL, VIC
"A really helpful, easy, step-by-step guide to negotiations!"
"I found the "Negotiating with Unions, Employees & Bargaining Reps" course run by Adelhelm & Associates very valuable in preparation for the renegotiation of the mine’s EBA in a few months’ time. The course provided a very good blend of the legal basis of the bargaining process and practical tips on how to approach the process from the planning stage through to the actual negotiation. It was obvious that the presenters have extensive on the ground experience which is what makes the course very worthwhile."
WESFARMERS CURRAGH, QLD
"This training will change the way I approach future bargaining meetings for the better. I am grateful for the opportunity to meet people in similar situations and share experiences and strategies."
"The training was absolutely spot on for our relatively inexperienced negotiating team. The consultant's experience and practical approach really resonated with them. A hugely valuable couple of days."
"The facilitators were great and the workshop was very enjoyable and provided us with the skills for negotiating in the workplace."
"Too many times companies sign up for the ‘lawyer negotiating training’ which from past experience has proven not to be helpful. Some HR folk are all ‘fight and bring in the legal cavalry’ when it all turns to custard. I used the skills from the Adelhelm workshop in our recent EBA and got fantastic results plus had a bargaining team that was on song as a choir, the whole way through the process."
"Adelhelm and Associates delivered training that was practical and informative, with just the right mix of theory and application. There are many broad negotiation training courses out there but none would compare to Adelhelm and Associates’ EA Negotiation from guys who have actually completed negotiations in the context of Enterprise Agreements. It was the most effective and worthwhile training I have been part of."
MELBOURNE ARTS CENTRE
"The workshop was informative and interactive and provided a safe forum for discussing the challenges we have faced in the past."
HUNTER PRIMARY CARE
"The session was great! I'd definately recommend this session to others."
The workshop was a good balance between information and interactive participation, which provided an excellent opportunity to practically experience the art of negotiation from both sides of the fence.
SRT LOGISTICS PTY LTY
I attended your “Negotiating with Unions & Employee Groups” workshop and wanted to thank you for an outstanding two days. I can honestly say that this 2 day workshop was by far the most valuable and practical training course that I have attended during my time in HR. It was great to have the opportunity to sit on the other side of the fence (Union) and get a clear understanding of the motivations and objectives of both parties during a negotiation process. The practical exercise at the end was a highlight. The delivery of the course was first rate and the input was invaluable. I highly recommend this course to any HR practitioner working in a unionised environment. I look forward to completing the Advanced course in the near future.
THE ROYAL CHILDRENS HOSPITAL
I found this workshop to be interesting, informative and found the interactive nature of the course challenging but it provided a good insight into what you could expect in a real negotiation meeting. I would recommend the course to any novice about to embark in negotiations of this nature.
It has been a while since I was involved in the lead negotiator role and I took this program as a timely refresher before starting my involvement in the near future. For me, it was more than a refresher as I learnt many new things to aid me in preparing for and negotiating through the next many EBAs. Thanks for the relaxed style of training that belied a robust and useful Program.
WESLEY MISSION QUEENSLAND
I really enjoyed the workshop. I thought it was an intense but meaningful workshop which exposed me to simulation environment very similar to the real one. I believe its really valuable for those with no or very little experience in negotiating to get them into that mind-set.
VICTORIAN BUILDING AUTHORITY
I found the 2 day workshop really well structured and the sharing of experiences from the presenters Fed & Kieren, helped participants conceptualise the information. The case studies were fun and there was always a ‘take away’ learning from each part of the program. While sharing a taxi to the airport with another participant, we discussed the outcomes of the 2 days, and both agreed it was one of the best workshops we have attended and I now look forward to my EBA negotiations.
ST ANDREWS SCHOOL
I did find the IR workshop very intense, but surprised myself with how much I actually participated as I’m not naturally comfortable in those situations. The presenter was very engaging and had us all interacting in no time. I thought we were very lucky with the group who attended as we all communicated well and had great banter between us, probably a little too much at times for the presenter!! The workshop was very informative and was extremely helpful for any future negotiating we’ll need to do. It’s given me more confidence and skills to better assist our HR Manager. I also found the group exercises very interesting as we all got to hear how other businesses handled their negotiating with different Unions and the bargaining reps. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this course.
I really enjoyed the two day workshop and was really impressed with how it was presented. It is safe to say that my involvement in Enterprise Bargaining negotiations have been fairly limited as this is mainly handled by another Department. However, I still feel I learnt a huge amount over the two days and would now be confident in requesting to be part of/ support negotiations as a learning experience and professional development for myself.
Working with the other attendees as part of the mock negotiations was an incredibly enjoyable experience, it was fantastic to see everyone apply the skills and knowledge that they had obtained over the previous day and a half. The workshop was both informative and enjoyable and I would certainly recommend it to others.
DEPARTMENT OF STATE DEVELOPMENT - SA
I have attended this Enterprise Agreement negotiation skills course 3 times. My first exposure was a public workshop that I often talk about, as some of the best training I have ever done. It prepared me for successful negotiations. I participated a 2nd time with colleagues as I wanted them to experience this workshop, in preparation for upcoming negotiations. Another successful learning event. The 3rd time was an in-house workshop, tailored to the organisation’s unique circumstances. The facilitation was again first class and equipped the team for success.
